Older than the automobile itself: Peugeot began as a family ironworks in 1810, made bicycles and coffee mills before cars, and only incorporated a dedicated automobile company, Automobiles Peugeot, in 1896.[1] The lion badge (adopted for saw blades in the 1850s, long before the first Peugeot car) is one of the oldest trademarks still in continuous automotive use.

Peugeot merged with Citroën in 1976 to form the PSA Group, and today sits inside Stellantis alongside Citroën, Fiat, Vauxhall/Opel and a dozen other marques, still headquartered at Sochaux, France, where its cars have been built since the 1910s.

Displayed unmodified to identify this manufacturer's own vehicles, editorially and without any suggestion of endorsement or affiliation. Accent colour: Sampled from the dark navy fill (#0d224a) used for the wordmark text in the badge's own SVG source. No public brand-colour specification was found; the badge artwork is the only self-consistent source.
