The first 308, launched in October 2007 as the 307’s replacement, was built on a stretched and reskinned version of the outgoing car’s platform.[1] Peugeot quoted a drag coefficient of 0.29 at launch, reduced to 0.28 at a March 2011 facelift, and the range grew to include an estate (SW), a coupé cabriolet (CC) and, in some markets, a saloon alongside the original hatchback.
Two trims are recorded here: a 2.0-litre HDi diesel and the GTi (badged GT in the UK), a turbocharged 1.6 introduced in May 2010 to revive the performance-hatch name. The source gives power output for both but no torque figure, 0-100 km/h time or top speed for either car. That is a thinner record than most nameplates in this catalogue, and it is left as a gap rather than filled from an unsourced estimate.
