Tools
Every tool here is a thin interface over the same pure functions that compute the derived figures on the entry pages. No tool contains arithmetic the pages do not also use, which is what stops a calculator and an entry ever giving two answers to the same question.
- Ballistics calculatorDrop, drift, retained velocity and energy, from the same RK4 solver the entry pages use.
- Recoil calculatorFree recoil energy, velocity and impulse. States its own lower bound rather than hiding it.
- Unit converterThe site's own conversion table, exposed. Every factor exact by definition.
- Size comparisonFour arms at true scale, from sourced dimensions and a labelled generic outline.
- MatchmakerRank entries against criteria you state. No budget filter, no legality filter, no recommendation.
- CompareUp to four entries side by side, across every row the specification tables carry.
Numbers you type into a calculator are yours, not ours: they carry no source and no status badge, and nothing you enter here is stored or sent anywhere. Figures on an entry page are a different thing entirely — each is either sourced or derived from sourced numbers by a formula you can open. The methodology page has all of them.
