Detail

Taurus Armas traces its origin to Forjas Taurus, founded on 17 November 1939 in São Leopoldo, Brazil, initially as a tool and die maker before it moved into firearms production. It is one of the largest handgun manufacturers in the world by volume, selling revolvers and semi-automatic pistols under its own name and through subsidiaries including Amadeo Rossi and the American maker Heritage Manufacturing, and it is majority owned by the Brazilian conglomerate CBC. The company operates manufacturing plants in Brazil and the United States.
