Colt Canada Corporation, based in Kitchener, Ontario, was formed in 2005 when Colt bought and renamed Diemaco, the Canadian firm that had built the C7 and C8 rifle family under licence since the 1980s. It continues to manufacture that rifle family for the Canadian Armed Forces and for export, and is now part of the Colt CZ Group.
