The third Fabia, revealed at the 2014 Paris Motor Show, moved onto a mixed PQ25/MQB platform Škoda called PQ26, and was built 90 mm wider and 30 mm lower than its predecessor despite being 8 mm shorter overall. Škoda’s designers said this was deliberate, to recapture the proportions of the original 1999 car.[1] Because of weak sales of the previous RS diesel, no hot-hatch variant was planned for this generation at all.

Three trims are recorded here, spanning the range’s launch engines: the 1.0 MPI entry petrol, the 1.2 TSI turbo petrol, and the 1.4 TDI diesel. All three, along with the diesel line entirely, were phased out at the 2019 facelift in favour of a smaller-displacement 1.0 TSI turbo range; this entry records the original 2014-2017 engines the car launched with.
