Announced in 2023 as an electric city car under €20,000 and previewed by the Twingo Legend concept, the Twingo E-Tech reached production in 2026 with styling (rounded headlights, a single-box silhouette, half-moon tail lamps) deliberately close to the 1993 original.[1] It rides on Renault’s AmpR Small platform, shared with the second-generation Dacia Spring, and is also sold as the Nissan Pixo with its own front and rear styling.
A single 60 kW motor and a 27.5 kWh LFP battery are offered, giving a WLTP range of 263 km, modest next to larger electric superminis, but in keeping with a car built to a tight price rather than a long one. Renault has not yet published a boot volume or seat count for the car, so both are left out here rather than assumed from the five-door body.
