Unveiled at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, the fifth Clio was the first to be built on the Renault-Nissan CMF-B HS platform, shared with the second Renault Captur and the Nissan Juke.[1] It brought the Clio its first full hybrid, E-Tech, pairing a 1.6-litre petrol engine with two electric motors and a 1.2 kWh battery through a clutchless multi-mode gearbox rather than a conventional transmission.
No kerb weight is recorded for this generation: unlike its predecessors, Wikipedia’s article for the Mk5 gives no generation-level or per-trim mass figure, and this entry does not carry an invented one. Renault does not sell the Clio in the US or Canada, so the EPA and NRCan registers this site otherwise draws on for a missing figure have nothing to offer here either.
