Lamborghini’s V12 flagship from 2011 to 2022, replacing the Murcielago and, in turn, replaced by the hybrid Revuelto.[1] Named, as most Lamborghinis are, after a fighting bull, it kept a naturally aspirated 6.5-litre V12 and a carbon-fibre monocoque chassis for its entire eleven-year run, growing in power from 700 PS at launch to 780 PS in the final Ultimae special edition. This entry treats it as the single generation it was (Lamborghini never gave the Aventador a numbered second generation), spanning the launch LP 700-4 through to the SVJ and the closing Ultimae.

Generations

Each generation is its own entry, with its own specifications and sources.
