Powertrain

LaFerrari’s power and torque figures need a careful reading, even though they pass the site’s usual sum-checking trap almost by accident. The V12 makes 800 PS/588 kW on its own; the HY-KERS electric motor adds 163 PS/120 kW; and the two numbers happen to add up exactly to Ferrari’s published combined total of 963 PS.[1] That arithmetic coincidence does not change how the figure is sourced here: 963 PS and 900 N-m are recorded because Ferrari itself publishes them as the car’s combined output, the same rule this site applies to the Toyota Prius and every other hybrid, not because this entry added the two component figures together.

Top speed and CO2 are both stated as Ferrari’s own claims without an independent verification given in the article, unlike the car’s 0-300 km/h time (Ferrari’s original claim of 15 seconds was later shown to be wrong, with independent testing finding 21.99 seconds instead). That acceleration figure is not stored on this entry at all (the schema does not have a 0-300 km/h field), but it is worth noting as a reminder that this article, in particular, corrects its own manufacturer claim in one place and not others.

Power
708 kW

963 PS combined system output, Ferrari's own published total, converted at 1 PS = 0.73549875 kW. The V12 alone makes 800 PS/588 kW at 9,000 rpm and the KERS electric motor alone 163 PS/120 kW; those two figures happen to sum exactly to the published total, but the 963 PS figure is Ferrari's own stated combined output, not an addition performed by this entry.

[1]

Torque
900 N⋅m

Combined system torque, Ferrari's own published figure. The V12 alone makes 700 N-m at 6,750 rpm; engine and electric-motor torque cannot be meaningfully added at the crankshaft, so the 900 N-m used here is the manufacturer's own combined figure, not a sum performed by this entry.
