The 458 replaced the F430 in 2009 and was the last naturally aspirated V8 Ferrari before the 488 switched to turbocharging.[1] It brought direct fuel injection to a mid-engined Ferrari road car for the first time and, in the 458 Speciale, a track-focused variant with active aerodynamics developed with input from former Ferrari F1 driver Michael Schumacher.
