Detail

Brothers Émile and Léon Nagant founded this Liège firm in 1859. It is best remembered for two designs that outlived the company itself by decades in Russian and Soviet service: the Mosin-Nagant rifle, on which Léon Nagant contributed elements of the bolt design, and the M1895 gas-seal revolver he designed alone. The firm closed in 1931.
