Ithaca Gun Company

Founded at Ithaca, New York in 1880 by a partnership that included two of Leroy Smith’s sons, and a maker of shotguns for its whole existence rather than a maker of military arms that also sold sporting guns. Its side-by-side doubles and, later, the bottom-ejecting Model 37 pump were its staples. The company has changed hands and locations several times since 1980; the name is still in use in New York state.
