Also known as 7,5 FK: the same cartridge under different names, all of which find this page.

Pressure standard
C.I.P.

SAAMI and C.I.P. measure pressure differently and their figures are not interchangeable, which is why the body is always named beside the figure.

Loads

Velocity is recorded per barrel length as published. A gun page interpolates between these points and never projects beyond them.

Detail

The 7.5 FK is a bottlenecked, rimless centerfire pistol cartridge the Czech firm FK Brno Engineering developed between 2009 and 2014, built with an unusually specific design brief: to let a handgun retain more kinetic energy at 75 to 150 metres than a 9×19mm Parabellum round generates at the muzzle. Reaching that goal meant a longer, higher-pressure cartridge than existing high-capacity service pistols could safely chamber, so FK Brno had to build a dedicated platform around it rather than adapt an existing design.

The cartridge first appeared in the all-steel FK BRNO Field Pistol of 2015, which used a patented recoil-attenuating mechanism to manage the round’s pressure and recoil in a handgun-sized frame; a lighter polymer-framed version, the FK PSD, followed in 2020. Both are multi-calibre designs that can also be configured for more conventional chamberings, with the 7.5 FK as their signature high-performance option.

All dimensional and pressure figures on this page come from C.I.P.’s own published standard for the cartridge and are recorded as verified. The two published bullet loads and their velocities come from Wikipedia’s own uncited infobox rather than a clickable primary source and are recorded as estimated.
