A small hatchback with an unusually large number of names: the same car has been sold as the Yaris, the Vitz, the Echo, the Platz and the Belta, depending on market and year.[1] It replaced the Starlet and Tercel in 1999 and has spent every generation since as Toyota’s entry-level European and Japanese supermini, closing the B-segment gap in this catalogue.
