Announced in February 2021 on the CMF-CD platform shared with the Nissan X-Trail and Renault Austral, the third-generation Qashqai grew modestly in every dimension and introduced Nissan’s e-Power hybrid system to the range.[1] e-Power is a series hybrid: a 1.5-litre variable-compression petrol engine never drives the wheels directly, existing solely to generate electricity for a separate traction motor.
That architecture is why no e-Power trim is recorded here. The source states the generator engine’s output (154 hp) and the electric motor’s output (187 hp) separately, and never publishes a combined system figure, and because the two units serve entirely different jobs, adding them together would invent a number nobody has published, exactly the trap this site’s policy on hybrid outputs exists to avoid.
