The Diablo replaced the Countach in 1990 and was Lamborghini’s flagship for eleven years, styled first by Marcello Gandini and then reworked at Chrysler’s studio after Chrysler bought the company mid-development.[1] It was the first production Lamborghini to top 200 mph, and the range grew through a rear-drive/all-wheel-drive split (VT) and a 1999 facelift before giving way to the Murciélago in 2001.
See the 1990 entry for the base car, the VT, the facelifted SV and the final VT 6.0 that make up the whole run.
