Subaru traces its lineage to Nakajima Aircraft Company, a Japanese wartime aircraft manufacturer broken up by the post-war Allied occupation; several of its successor companies merged in 1953 to form Fuji Heavy Industries, which built its first car (the Subaru 1500) the following year and took the Subaru name for the brand.[1] The company itself was renamed Subaru Corporation in 2017. It has built its identity on symmetrical all-wheel drive and horizontally opposed “boxer” engines across nearly its entire passenger-car range, a combination few other manufacturers have committed to as consistently.

Computed from every entry that names this brand, never a hand-maintained list. Each nameplate is a hub over its own generations.

Every generation and halo trim from this brand, with the figures each one carries. Sort by any column; a car we have not sourced a figure for sorts last rather than as a zero.

Logo: File:Subaru logo.svg · Subaru. Displayed unmodified to identify this manufacturer's own vehicles, editorially and without any suggestion of endorsement or affiliation. Commons records the file as public domain for copyright purposes; the basis for display here is trademark nominative use, not a copyright licence.

Accent colour: Sampled from the badge's own SVG source, which specifies no fill colour on its path and therefore renders in the SVG default of solid black. This is the wordmark rather than the six-star cluster emblem; no colour specification for either mark was found on Commons, so the mark actually on file is what is recorded rather than the widely recognised blue being guessed at.
