Composition
USDA FoodData Central (SR Legacy) · 170920. Celery salt is ground celery seed cut with salt, typically about equal parts by commercial recipe; no USDA record exists for the blend itself. Figures here are Spices, celery seed (public domain) averaged 50/50 with plain sodium chloride (39,340 mg sodium per 100 g, sodium's own 39.3% share of NaCl's mass), which is why every figure is the arithmetic mean of the two rather than a measured figure. The figures are marked as such rather than sourced to a bottle. No density: it is a rimming salt, mixed into a thin layer on the glass rather than poured, and USDA's own portion is a teaspoon of packed powder.
