Body style

Launched in 2022, the Mégane E-Tech Electric replaced the conventional petrol and diesel Mégane with a battery-electric hatchback built on Renault’s dedicated CMF-EV platform, sharing its underpinnings with the Renault Scénic E-Tech.[1] It is sold with a choice of 40 kWh or 60 kWh batteries and two motor outputs, and it gave up a front boot entirely: the motor and its ancillaries occupy the space a combustion Mégane would leave empty under the bonnet.

Two trims are recorded here: the entry-level 40 kWh/96 kW car and the longer- range 60 kWh/160 kW flagship. A third combination Renault also sells, the 60 kWh battery paired with the lower-output motor, is left out for brevity. The 160 kW car’s claimed 7.5-second 0-100 km/h time is the manufacturer figure; independent road tests cited in the source have measured it half a second quicker, which this catalogue notes without treating as a genuine conflict: one is a claim and the other is a test result, not two competing specifications.
