Each half is scored 0–5 per criterion and averaged; the two averages add up to the score out of ten. Visitors can rate any film with the exact same system — see the scorecard on any film page.

Your ratings stay with you

There is no server behind this site. Ratings you make are stored in your own browser's local storage — never uploaded, never aggregated. Use the export button to download them as JSON and the import button to bring them back in another browser.

Data & credits

Film metadata, posters, and community scores come fromTMDB. IMDb, Rotten Tomatoes, and Metacritic scores are retrieved via theOMDb API. Director portraits come from TMDB or Wikimedia Commons. Average shot length figures are compiled by hand, largely fromCinemetrics-style measurement. My ratings are my own.
